Mangaluru: Lavina Rodrigues wins three gold medals in 2nd State Masters Athletics

Mangaluru, Apr 1: Lavina Rodrigues, a talented sprinter from the city, won a number of medals in the masters games at the state-level and is selected to participate in the upcoming fourth National Masters Game - 2021.

Lavina participated in the thirty-plus category and won the gold medals in 400 meter, 800 meter and 1500 meter. She is also qualified to participate in the World Master Games. She eagerly awaits the championship which is to be hosted in Japan.

200 meter, 400 meter and 1500 meter are her favorite sprint events and for the past four years, she has been continuously winning medals in these events. She contested in the nation-level competitions by paying from her own resources.
