Mumbai: Police file case against 2 Dubai returnees for escaping quarantine

Mumbai, May 2: An FIR has been registered against 60-year-old Dubai returned passenger and his daughter by Powai police. 60-year-old had escaped quarantine and his daughter is booked for abusing civic staff.

BMC's quarantine guidelines for international passengers travelling from Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Brazil, makes it mandatory for incoming passengers to be sent to institutional quarantine for seven days.

As per BMC’s medical officer “We conducted the Covid test on the seventh day of his quarantine and he was found positive. Accordingly, following the protocol, we arranged for an ambulance to send the patient to GT hospital in South Mumbai.”
