Mangaluru: 'Follow state guidelines on lockdown' - Ramanath Rai tells district administration

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, May 10: “The district administration also should follow state guidelines to control the spread of coronavirus. Do not push people in the district to confusion by announcing separate protocol,” suggested former minister B Ramanath Rai to the district administration.

In a press release Rai stated, “Coronavirus has an adverse impact on the lives of people. People are already undergoing mental tension. Separate guidelines to the district will create more problems to them. The flocking of crowds at markets and shops for purchases during the limited time period is not right.

“Three days’ time was allowed before imposing lockdown in the state. Implement the guidelines issued by the state government. Permit fishermen to sell their catch following the Covid guidelines.

“Take district leaders, experts, service organizations and social workers into confidence while fighting against the virus. The united efforts are likely to make it easier to defeat the virus,” suggested the former minister.
