Puttur, Jul 17: After a KSRTC bus hit a motorbike at Periyashanti near Uppinangady, the rider of the bike lost his life. The pillion rider suffered serious injuries. The accident happened on Friday July 16.
The victim was Arun (33), resident of Adya House in Kenchammana Hoskote revenue division in Alur taluk, Hassan district. Pillion rider, Mohan (36), who suffered fracture, has been admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru.
Arun is survived by wife and two daughters. His wife was currently under the care of her parents in Puttur in connection with her second delivery. Arun along with his friend was going to Puttur to meet his wife and child in his motorbike, when the accident occurred.
A case in this regard was filed at Uppinangady police station.
