Bantwal, Jul 17: Vittal station police have registered a case against a man on charges of threatening and ending the marriage proposal of his former girlfriend.

A 21-year-old Bantwal based girl was familiar since the last three years with accused Irfan. Irfan had come to the house of the girl and fought saying that he is in love with her for the last eight months. He had later telephoned the younger sister of the girl and threatened that he would upload the photos of her older sister on social media and end her already fixed wedding proposal. He has later called the family of the boy to whom the girl was to get married and stopped the marriage.

A complaint by the girl states that the man was repeatedly threatening her since December 2020.
