Udupi: District admin urges public to strictly adhere to Covid guidelines during Dasara

Udupi, Oct 6: The district administration has issued an order urging the public to strictly adhere to the Covid guidelines during celebration of Dasara festival from October 7 to 15.

According to the order, people exceeding more than 400 in number cannot gather in the programmes. Social distancing should be strictly followed.

All programmes which are being celebrated without social distancing are prohibited. Everyone including the temple priest and staff in the temples should adhere to the Covid appropriate behaviour.

The programme organisers or the administrative authority should take measures to provide facilities of sanitisers, masks and social distancing at public gatherings. To prevent the spread of the Covid, the public should strictly follow the directions issued by the central and state government. In the public interest, the order issued by the health department, police department, Fire and Emergency Services, district administration and orders of local authorities should be followed.

As per the direction of the government, Dasara festival should be celebrated in a simple manner so that positivity rate of Covid cases will not increase, stated the order.
