Mangalore, Oct 23:
Subodh Yadav assumed office of the district deputy commissioner (DC) here on Saturday October 23, following the recent transfer of his predecessor V Ponnuraj to Shimoga.

Headquarters assistant to DC Prabhakar Sharma welcomed Yadav at the DC's office.

Yadav belongs to the 1999 batch of IAS officers and had served in the district as the CEO of zilla panchayat some years ago.

Lauding the efforts of V Ponnuraj, Yadav assured that he would carry on the ongoing and proposed development projects in the district and will need a week to take stock of the situation before taking any major decision.

Hailing from Kanpur in UP, Yadav has rendered his services across the state. This is his fifth stint as DC, the four earlier being Kodagu, Chikkaballapur, Bangalore south division and Gadag. He also has the distinction of holding the post of private secretary in union ministry of law and justice.

Being the District Monarch, if you could control your village accountants and revenue inspectors by attending their work disposal in 3 days, your part as D.C. will definitely remembered. Avoid them for photocall duty. Corruption will reduce if tahsildars and higher officers not expect anything from V..A. and R.Is. In the name of 79 a and b and alienation of the lands official harrasses the public. Controls and watch your subordinate officers and officials, you will be successful in the presence of the public.

Congrats to my master Sri.Subodh Yadav, a tough, confident, transparent, clean & a hard worker. He was the first DC of our district(Chickballapur), yes he had been a night mare for the people with illegal habits. Subodh sir only entertains good things, he never steps back out of a good work and he dares to withheld all lobbies regarding it. Best example he had issued a notice for demolition of an illegal house (mansion) constructed in Municipal play ground site by an dirty liquor baron in our city, he had suspended more than 5 employers of food and civil supplies for foul play in distribution of food materials to poor. this are very few to mention. Definitely he wuld do good and daring things with clean hands, now the challenge is for mangaloreans that how far u can save my master from getting transferred due to political lobbies before he completes his tenure??

Welcome Sir. But let this cycle of transfer be a meaningful one. Before you unleash further development programs (we had enough of it), please complete the existing ones which are as good in a dialipidated state. Check the builders of the multi complexexs and appartments for illegal constructions. Penalize the contractors and planners for breaking / cutting already laid concrete roads for their un-planned development. Don't waste Tax Payers money for their stupidity and ill-planning.

Welcome to our new DC, Mr. Subodh Yadav and wish him all the best. Hope he will not fall for the pressure tactics of the politicians and the greasing hands of the under dealers. Sir, complete all the incomplete works in progress initiated by the Ex-DC Ponnaraj. Sir, initiate some innovative projects for the betterment of this fast developing Town/City that will make us remember that as your contribution to this vibrant Town/City. God bless.

Mangalore will surely welcome you dear Mr.Yadav, you are not a stranger! Indeed your predecessor has done much to modernize the place but many aspects are in utter shambles for the 'Aam Aadmi'. Citizens hope that things will change faster, provided the political bosses can find their feet and direction. Every Best Wish to you and all with you!

I join several others in welcoming Mr. Subodh Yadav to The Port City of Mangalore as the new D.C. It occurs to me that Mr. Yadav is coming to Mangalore with rich experience.

It is my wish and hope that Mr. Yadav renders the service that Mangalore is badly in need of and that his tenure will be fruitful.
