Puttur, Oct 9: In connection with an incident in which a minor girl gave birth to a child after having been raped, the victim has complained to the district superintendent of police.
She said that she had been raped by the owner of a plantation in Badagannur where she was working for several months. She said she was repeatedly raped on several occasions. She also claimed to have been threatened by the man, in addition to compelling her to take religious vow the name of a divine power known for harming those who violate the oaths taken in its name.
"I had filed a complaint in Sampya police station in Puttur. The police there are now trying to distort the case. They are planning to make my elder brother a victim in the case and save the actual culprit," she stated in the complaint.
