Sullia, Oct 12: Lord Subrahmanya temple in Kukke Subrahmanya has made it mandatory for the devotees visiting the temple either for paying obeisance to the Lord or for offering different services, to possess coronavirus negative certificates. These RT-PCR certificates should not be more than 72 hours old.

Security personnel have been deployed at various points of the temple complex to ensure that the people wear masks without fail and maintain social distance. The security personnel also are creating corona awareness among the people.

Everyday only 100 devotees are allowed to perform 'Sarpa Samskara' ritual that is one of the most popular services offered here. Even in respect of other services, 25 Naga Prathishta services and four Panchamrut Abhisheka are being provided for. Ashlesha Bali service is being held in four batches with 70 devotees in each batch. For every receipt issued, only two people are being allowed inside.

The temple premises and dining hall are cleaned everyday by using disinfectants. Boards conveying guidance and information have been provided at various points.

A vaccination centre has been opened near the Rajagopura of the temple and an RT-PCR testing centre has been in operation for the benefit of devotees and the members of the general public. All the staff of the temple have been administered with both the doses of Covid vaccination and they have been instructed to keep undergoing RT-PCR tests often, said president of temple managing committee, Mohanram Sullia.
