Vijayapura: Tremors felt again - People turn apprehensive

Vijayapura, Oct 15: Hitnalli village which is located very close to the city, experienced light tremors again on Thursday October 14. During the last one month, tremors have been felt at different places on various occasions in north Karnataka.

The state natural disaster monitoring center said that the tremor, which was felt at 6.22 pm on Thursday with its epicentre at Hitnalli and which also was felt in nearby Jumnal and Managuli areas, had a magnitude of 3.1.

When the earth shook, people ran out of their houses. The natural disaster monitoring centre confirmed about the tremor based on the Richter scale recordings.
