Udupi, Oct 20: "The union government should take stringent measures to protect the Hindus in Bangladesh. If the properties of minorities Hindus are vandalised in other countries, even Hindu organisation here will think to respond. If Hindu community decides, the minority Muslims will be driven to Bangladesh. Do not test our patience. This is a warning to the Muslim community," said Bajrang Dal (BD) state convener Sunil K R.
He was speaking at a protest held by Vishwa Hindu Parsihad and Bajrang Dal at Ajjarakadu here on Wednesday October 20, condemning violence on minority Hindus, vandalisation of houses and temples in Bangladesh.
He said, “It is necessary to boost the confidence of Hindus living in Bangladesh. We wear saffron as it a symbol of sacrifices. It is not worn due to communal mindset. Hinduism is not restricted to any one particular organisation. Saffron colour is the symbol of this country.
“We should oppose Siddaramaiah who opposes saffron. Hindu community is alive because of saffron. The culture of the country is still alive because of saffron.
“The Muslims here should have opposed violence against the minorities in Bangladesh. Because, they are a minority here. If such violence continues, the entire Hindu society will respond,” he said.
Bajrang Dal district coordinator Surendra Koteshwara, Vishwa Hindu Parsihad (VHP) general secretary Dinesh Mendon, VHP vice president Ashok Paladka and others were present.
