Bengaluru: Konkani Catholic Sangh, Yeshwanthpur celebrates Golden Jubilee

Bengaluru, Nov 3: November 1, 2021, was a very special day for Konkani Catholic Sangh (KCS), Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. It was the 50th anniversary of the KCS association. The KCS, Yeshwanthpur was formed on November 1, 1971.

On Monday, November 1, 2021, the members of KCS took part in the thanksgiving mass, celebrated by Fr Sunil Monis and Fr Sunil Dsouza at 10 am, at Christ The King Church, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. After the holy mass, there was a felicitation programme for the students passing 10th, 12th and graduation/post-graduation courses with high merit. 27 students were felicitated. The secretary, Robert Cutinha briefed about the history of KCS and all the activities of the association for the past 50 years.

It was fortunate to have some of the elders and previous presidents of the association with us on that day. As a gesture of our gratitude for their dedicated service to KCS, Yeshwanthpur, three ex-Presidents Lullus Cutinha, Baptist Fernandes, Vincent Mendonsa and the current president George Mascarhenhas; and three senior members Irene Rego, Paul Pinto and Clement D’souza were felicitated while the secretary shared to the audience about memorable events associated with each one of them. It was a heartwarming moment of the day.

After the felicitation ceremony, the members gathered out in the premises for cutting the Golden Jubilee cake. George Mascarenhas president welcome the gathering. Secretory Robert Cutinha conveyed Vote of thanks for all. Kiran D'Souza compered the function. Function ended with high tea.
