Bengaluru: Siddaramaiah denies having insulted Dalits, Eshwarappa vows to defeat former CM

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 4: Former chief minister (CM), leader of the opposition Siddaramaiah, claimed that he had never said that the Dalits have joined the BJP to earn a livelihood. He dismissed the report which attributed this statement to him and asserted that he can never utter such words in his lifetime. He said he does not need to learn lessons on morality from the BJP. He pointed out that the people whom he had addressed that day had clapped him and that if he had insulted the audience, they would have protested then and there.

Speaking at Chitradurga, minister K S Eshwarappa said that the worth of Siddaramaiah was proved in the Chamundeshwari assembly election and that the Congress has repeatedly proved itself to be a big zero. He vowed to defeat Siddaramaiah irrespective of which constituency he will fight from in the next election.

He said that Siddaramaiah has failed to say anything about the whispers between Saleem and Ugrappa. He insisted that the Congress cannot decimate BJP in spite of its best efforts even though its leaders are claiming to be capable of doing that. Referring To the fact that Congress leaders have attributed the BJP victory in Sindagi to excessive use of money power, he wanted to know whether the Congress had spent money lavishly in Hangal where they won.
