Mumbai: Veteran theatre actress Satyabhama Balakrishna Nidwannaya passes away

Mumbai, Nov 20: Senior theatre actress Satyabhama Balakrishna Nidwannaya passed away due to sickness in a private hospital here on November 19. She was 81.

She hailed from Bellipadi, Kasargod and was staying at Rusthumji residency, Dahisar west here. She has acted in more than sixty dramas and serials in Kannada, Tulu and Hindi and had become a household name. She had also acted with her husband Balakrishna Nidwannaya and was known as a model couple.

She was the director of Kala Nilaya drama company, active in BSKB association Gokula, president of Goregaon Karnataka Sangha ladies wing, was active in Pejavar math Santacruz Madhwesha Bhajana Mandali, Vaghdevi Bhajana Mandali Borivli and various other organization in Mumbai. She has left behind her husband, son, daughter and a large number of artistes.
