I too have a few Kenyan friends here with me.I showed the picture of that buffalo to my African friends and they said it is a cow! They said buffalo cannot be domesticated. I had hearty laugh!
However, they showed me African buffalos in the internet(google) and they really look ferocious!

Whenever I mention to the Kenyans, where buffaloes are only a scene of the wild and considered to be one of the most dangerous wild animals, that we domesticate the animals and use them for ploughing the land and for milk and meat, they are stunned. They just can't believe it. When I saw this news item, I realised that the fear of the Kenyans, and for that matter Africans, is not totally unfounded. The real wild nature in the animal can come to the fore at any time.

I too have seen on many occasions during my childhood, the real wild in the buffaloes coming to surface. And when it did, no one could face the animal. It was a terror! Anyway, kudos to Indians, where wild animals like elephants and buffaloes have been made human friendly, while in Africa, thousands of such animals still remain a scene to be beheld only in the wild and also considered dangerous creatures.

Recently I visited one of Kenya’s most popular national parks – the Nakuru National Park – where I could see herds and herds of wild buffaloes. We don’t speak of domestic buffaloes in Kenya as there are none. However, I should say, the real beauty of the animal is appreciated only in the wild in its natural habitat!

Likewise we say, everything has got its own time... Guess even this poor animal was knowing that she did not want to die as the almightly still has written good life in her. Hence may be, she got furious which was just an act from the almightly to get the buffalo saved.. Thanks to the local residents, who did have soft corner for this animal and saved its life.. The pics of treating this buffalo with water is just awesome.. Water can cool of any kind of furiousness.
