Mumbai: Thane old age home – 62 test positive for coronavirus

Mumbai, Nov 29: A senior health department official confirmed that 62 inmates of an old age home at Thane have tested positive for coronavirus and have been shifted to hospital.

All the infected are inmates of old age home Matoshree at Khadavali in Bhiwandi taluk. Dr Manish Renge, district health officer said that the doctors tested all the 109 inmates of the facility after two of them complained of ill-health.

All the infected are above the age of 60 and are admitted into Thane civil hospital. District administration is making an all out effort to monitor the infected people and prevent any further spread of the infection.
