Udupi, Jan 3: Police have registered a case against the organiser of a late night dinner party that was being held with high decibel DJ music in the city.

A programme was being held at the house of Shivarama Shettigar of 76 Badagubettu village. City police station personnel received messages from the public about the same. Sub inspector Vasappa Naika, along with probationary PSI and other patrol personnel went to the house and verified the complaint that was made. He was shocked to see that Shivarama Shettigar was hosting his son’s marriage reception party.

Shivarama Shettigar had not taken any prior permission. The programme blatantly violated the night curfew and coronavirus guidelines of the district administration. Police confiscated two sound boxes and registered a case against the host.

Congratulation to the police to take such a brave step. Citizens who are fed up with these type of DJs whose high decibel sound system is very unnerving and painful. Old people with health problems and heart patience are disturbed with these type of no limit decibel sound system that too at mid night. Police should take strict action, as there is also Supreme Court judgement is there to penalise this.
