Chitradurga, Jan 24: In an incident which happened in Ramajogihalli village of Challakere taluk of Chitradurga district on Sunday January 23, a woman killed her mother-in-law.
Rudramma (60) from the village lost her life in the said incident. Her daughter-in-law, Muddamma, committed this murder. The two fought with each other often.
In the early hours of Sunday January 23, Muddamma killed her mother-in-law by hitting her with repeatedly with a hammer. People of the family and neighbourhood who heard this sound came running. They grew fearful at the sight of Muddamma holding a blood-soaked hammer. The police thereafter arrested Muddamma.
Challakere police have registered a case of murder relating to this incident.
