Karkala, Jan 27: A man was killed and his brother injured when an auto rickshaw in which they were travelling was rammed into by a car near Miyyar here on Wednesday, January 26.
The driver of the auto rickshaw, identified as Chandrashekhara Madivala (55), passed away in the accident. The accident occured when a car moving on Naravi route collided into the auto rickshaw that was bound for Bajagoly near the Miyyar bridge.
Prior to the mishap, Chandrashekhara's elder brother is admitted in a hospital here for treatment. Unfortunately, the accident took place when Chandrashekhara was on his way back home after getting his brother discharged from the hospital.
Chandrashekhara's brother too suffered injuries again in this accident. He was admitted into a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. A case in this connection was registered in Karkala rural police station.
