Kundapur, Jan 27: 100 students of Morarji Desai residential school, Heranjal, Byndoor have tested Covid positive. 62 among them are boys and 38 are girls. There are classes from sixth standard to tenth standard in the school. 236 students are studying in them.

The swabs of all the students were collected by Kirimanjeshwar health centre and sent to the laboratory for testing. Their reports were received on January 27 and Covid was confirmed on 100 students.

There are two separate two storied hostels in the residential school to accommodate boys and girls. Students who were tested positive will be accommodated in the two upper floors for treatment and those who are Covid negative will be provided accommodation on the ground floor.

Those on the upper floors are prevented from walking to the ground floor. They will be supplied food to the places where they are.
