Mangaluru, Feb 19: The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) held an adalat under the chairmanship of mayor Premananda Shetty to accelerate the process of granting TDR Development Rights Certificate (DRC) to citizens who handed over their land for the road widening and similar projects. The programme was organised on February 18, 2022 in the Corporation Committee Hall.

A total of 25 people participated in the adalat out of which 18 applications were accepted. The applications of 14 land owners who have already handed over their land but have not received TDRs were accepted. Out of these, 11 applicants had already given deeds of conveyance, and 4 new applications were accepted.

It was decided that the land owners who had handed over their properties already but have not submitted deeds of conveyance would be notified via Corporation website, wherein they would have 15 days to file their deeds of conveyance. After this, they would be directed to Mangaluru Development Authority to procure their TDRs.

Mangaluru Development Authority would be handed a proposition by MCC directing to issue TDRs to properties that were handed over prior to the implementation of TDR rules.

MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, MCC Chief Whip Sudhir Shetty and MUDA Commissioner N Bhaskar and officers and staff of MCC were present during the event.
