Five people arrested for killing friend, projecting it as accident

Ramnagar, Mar 6: Police arrested five men, who killed their friend, a rowdy sheeter and made it look like an accident. The incident occurred on the night of February 24 on the road by the side of Yelachaguppe Kere under Tavarakere police station.

The deceased person is identified as Naveen (28) who was a known rowdy sheeter. His rowdy sheet was opened at Madanayanahalli police station. On the night of February 24, Naveen was consuming liquor along with his friend Santhosh. Later they were joined by his friends Hemanth, Vinod, Patela Seena and Madhu. During the party, an argument ensued between Tony and Hemant over a trivial matter. Naveen spoke in a derogatory manner about Hemant’s wife. The issue was resolved by Putti. Naveen dropped his friend Santhosh home and again went back to the spot of altercation.

Hemant had already planned to kill Naveen along with his friends. They made Naveen consume liquor to the brim. Later, they took him in a car to Seegehalli Spoorthi Layout and hacked him to death.

After killing Naveen, Hemanth and his friends took his body and his bike and collided the bike with car and made it look like an accident. They also took the car over the Naveen's body and then left him on the road.

Police who saw the mortal remains noticed the wounds made with sword on the body of slain Naveen. This was confirmed during the post mortem. They arrested all the five accused involved in the murder of Naveen.
