Russia has destroyed almost all combat aircraft of Ukraine: Official

New Delhi, Mar 6 (IANS): The Russian Armed Forces have destroyed almost all combat-ready aircraft of the Ukrainian military, the official representative of the Russian Defence Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced.

"Fighter aircraft and air defence of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down three more Ukrainian Su-27 fighters and three unmanned aerial vehicles in the air. In total, yesterday and incomplete today, the Ukrainian Air Force lost 11 combat aircraft and two helicopters," he said, RT reported.

The Russian army with high-precision long-range weapons disabled the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Vinnitsa, he added.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence showed a video with a Su-34 front-line bomber, destroying a military facility of Ukrainian 'nationalists' with a high-precision air strike as part of a special operation in Ukraine.

On Sunday morning, Russian armed forces disabled the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Starokonstantinov.

The Russian military continues to strike at the military infrastructure of Ukraine. On the evening of March 5, as a result of a massive attack, 61 military facilities on the territory of Ukraine were hit. Over the past day, bomber and attack aircraft hit three radar stations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the missile forces destroyed the S-300 air defence system.

    For the US war is a business. Perhaps there is nothing much to gain by supporting poor Ukraine. For Putin, the fear of potential attack by the EU/NATO forces is an illusion. No power on this earth has the courage to militarily antagonize Russia. The same thing will happen if China grabs Taiwan which is likely to happen sooner or later.

    There has been a reluctancy for Moscow and Washington to engage directly in air-to-air combat over the past 70 years. As an independent American who has never been a U.S. Government official in any capacity or had any vested interests related to the U.S. Military Industrial Complex, I would hope that a permanent ceasefire can be established so that UN peacekeeping forces from neutral nations like India may be deployed to replace the areas now controlled by Russian and Ukrainian troops so that concerns of Putin and Zelenskyy can be addressed in a peaceful manner without any further need to kill innocent civilians as well as soldiers from Russia and Ukraine, because anymore further bloodshed in this tragic situation will accomplish nothing except possibly cause all of us to become involved in a global thermal war rather than a regional conventional conflict. Please let me assure you that I am also being objective to realize there are many evil things in Ukraine that still exist, which cannot be ignored any longer and that have existed long before the Kremlin decided to enter recently into the main area of the Ukrainian nation that decided not to remain as a Nuclear Power with anymore Thermonuclear Weapons or as a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States or CIS. Neither a No-Fly Zone nor replacement combat aircraft from the West to compensate for Ukraine military aircraft that were recently destroyed by the Russian Aerospace Forces would solve any of the real problems related to this regional war except causing it to escalate into a global war that is beyond any logic for the survival of the planet we share. In conclusion, it should be the wish of all of us for the military activity in Ukraine to end by rapidly bringing in UN armed forces from neutral nations and provide investigative teams to uncover any criminal activity that President Vladimir V. Putin has alleged, but even concerns that you and I may have independently become aware of as well. Thank you.

    I support no wars. Many Russians have likened this conflict to the Cuban crisis of 1962. They (the Russians) explain that USA did not want any enemy missiles based in Cuba, pointing to USA. So USA did not hesitate to threaten Cuba to erase it off the world's map. The message from Russia, over the last ten years, is that American missiles must bot be based next to the Russian borders, pointing at the Russian cities. Ukraine, in its foolish dream of becoming a developed country within a decade, has unwittingly become a pawn.

    Vishal Mangalore if you dont know just dont tell anything .US cant take part in this as Russia is bombarding within uKraine .Russia is simply provoking by attacking .Because ukraine has entered Nato Russia is angry.He wants Ukraine not enter Nato.without Natos help Ukraine cant survive.ALways Russia is troubling ..Ukraine is no mans land .other side other one is troubling Gas lines pipes arepassing through ukraine .If other Outside nations take part in their inner troubles will be a world war.Russia was waiting that other Nations mix.Now from everyside everyone is pressing him.cut off connection.Still he doesnt want to leave simply so.

    Zelensky is reportedly in Poland, where he is making videos urging Ukrainians to die for Ukraine. Zelensky has a 35 million dollar house in Miami. Whatever happens in Ukraine, Zelensky is set for life.

    Its better for Ukraine to surrender and join Putin. Siding with NATO and US will only rear end Zelnski. Both US and NATO lionised Zelenski and provoked him to fight the Russians, Besides fatwas US have not done jack. The question now arises ''is US really a super power?'.
