Puttur: Woman from Kabaka loses life in fire accident

Puttur, Mar 7: After clothes which a woman was wearing when cooking inside the kitchen of her house accidentally caught fire, she suffered extensive burn injuries and lost her life.

Kamala (59), a resident of Periyathody in Kabaka village became the victim of this tragedy. On Friday March 4, Kamala was preparing food for lunch when her clothes caught fire. She was taken to a private hospital in Puttur for treatment but at the advice of the hospital authorities, Kamala was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru. However, she failed to respond to treatments and lost her life on Sunday March 6.

The deceased has left behind three sons.
