Mangaluru: MRPL organizes awareness of labour laws

Mangaluru, Mar 8: Awareness generation and sensitization of workers about their rights under various labour laws was done in MRPL Celebration on March 7, 2020. The programme was conducted as part of Iconic week of AzadikaAmritMahotsav which is being observed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment from March 7 to 13, 2022.

AAnjanappa, deputy chief labour commissioner (Central) - Bengaluru, Sampath Kumar, assistant labour commissioner (Central) - Mangaluru and Madhu M, labour enforcement officer - Mangaluru/Hubli conducted the event while form MRPL, Elango M, executive director (Refinery) and Krishna Hegde, GGM HR, were present.

The Central Labour Officers explained about various provisions pertaining to worker rights and employers’ responsibility and compliances under labour laws to contract workers, contractors and representative of principal employer. Deputy CLC interacted and clarified the queries of contract workers and contractors.
