Bengaluru, Mar 8: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has started a helpline to prevent direct recruitment of 1,242 posts of assistant lecturers in Government First Grade Colleges to check any irregularities.

The direct recruitment process is going on smoothly without any problems and in a transparent manner. However, the KEA has launched the helpline to ensure that complaints or rumours pertaining to the recruitment are dealt with sternly, KEA Executive Director Ramya has announced.

The KEA Executive Director has asked that complaints regarding any irregularities could be directly sent to Mobile Number 990158170 during office hours or even details could be sent via WhatsApp.

“The information will be kept secret and action will be taken against the culprits swiftly,’’ she said pointing out that there was no scope for corruption or irregularities in the recruitment.

The direct recruitment is conducted strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the written tests. Even face-to-face interviews for selection are not being held in order to avoid any scope for corruption.

The competitive test for the direct recruitment is being done from March 12 to 16, she said declaring that the candidates have to follow the prescribed guidelines. The candidates, who are yet to obtain the hall tickets for the competitive test, can do so from the website of the Karnataka Examination Authority.

The competitive tests are being conducted at Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Dharwad, Belagavi and Kalaburagi.
