Mangaluru: Section 144 imposed around assistant professor exam centres

Mangaluru, Mar 6: City police commissioner N Shashikumar has declared Section 144 around a radius of 200 meters from the designated competitive examination centres for the assistant professor's post in the city police commissionerate as a precautionary measure from March 12 to 16.

The prohibitory orders have been ordered around the St Aloysius PU College, Kodialbail, Besant National PU College, Kodialbail, Govt PU College For Women, Balmatta,Canara PU College, M G ROAD and Govt PU College, Car Street.

"Other than the students appearing for the examinations, forming or moving of groups having over five members in the said area has been prohibited. No possession or exchange of slips, pasting of posters, signs, songs or speech of any sort amounting to copying or malpractice is allowed. All the Xerox shops functioning around the examination centres have been ordered to be closed half an hour before the start of the examination, and during the period the examinations are in progress. Use of mobile phones in the prohibitory zone has also been banned," states a communique from the city police commissioner.
