Madikeri, Mar 10: In a tragic incident reported from Bilugunda in Virajpet in Kodagu district, a man ended his life. His son soon followed his father in death.

Subbaiah (76) from Bilugunda, and his son, Gireesh (39) gave up their lives. Subbaiah had left home on March 7 evening on the pretext of visiting the Mandal office. His body was later found hanging. Aggrieved and shocked by his father's unexpected demise, son Gireesh gave up his life on March 9 by jumping into a pond.

On the basis of a complaint made by Kaveramma, wife of /subbaiah, /virajpet police hae registered a case.
