Dharwad, Mar 10: In a shocking incident reported from Pendar Galli in the city, a quarrel which started on the issue of having a chicken piece ended in one murder. The fight erupted at the feast arranged as part of the marriage function.
This incident happened in the late night hours on Tuesday March 8. The said marriage was arranged in a marriage hall. While having food, a quarrel broke out between two men. Sadiq Motilal Bidnal (30) from Laxmi Singanakere, who had also attended the marriage, tried to put an end to the quarrel. When he was making efforts to strike peace between the two, a person identified as Mohammad Rizwan pushed Motilal Bidnal away. When Motilal was jolted, sharp metal rods of a gate got pierced into his body and head. He bled profusely and died on the way to hospital. The police have taken accused Rizwan into custody.
