Mangaluru: Theft from cloth store - Video becomes viral

Mangaluru, Mar 10: A video clip showing two women stealing nighties from a cloth store in Thokottu here by hiding the stolen clothes inside the burqas they were wearing, has become viral.

The theft occurred in Vailankanni Ladies Selection cum Studio at Thokottu on March 7 afternoon. Two women who came to the shop when the lady staff were present, began to check clothes by posing as customers. They succeeded in diverting the attention of the lady staff. When the staff were searching for clothes by bending down, these two women dragged out several nighties which they concealed in their burqas before going away.

The owner of the shop grew suspicious and checked the CCTV footage at night and found what had happened. The footage has become viral in the social media now. A case in this respect has been registered in Ullal police station.
