Kundapur, Mar 12: Kandavara Sudhakar Hegde (86), former Mandal Pradhann of Kedoor Mandal here, drowned in a well located in his farm. The tragedy happened when he accidentally slipped and fell into the well located near his house at Korgi near Thekkatte in the taluk on Friday March 11 morning.
The deceased has left behind two sons including K Gaureesh Hegde, president of Korgi gram panchayat, wife, and a daughter. Hegde was involved with active politics through Janatadal for many years. He had served as the Pradhan of Kedoor Mandal in the past.
Chairman of Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission, K Jayaprakash Hegde, Kundapur MLA, Halady Srinivas Shetty, Byndoor MLA, B M Sukumar Shetty and others have condoled his demise.
