Kundapur, Mar 12: In an incident that occurred near Korgi Girija Chandrashekhar Hegde government higher primary school of the taluk on Saturday, a vehicle which was transporting dry grass caught fire as it came into contact with an electrical wire.
The vehicle was carrying dry grass for cattle. As it was approaching near the school, the dry grass load on the vehicle touched the overhead high tension wire and started burning.
The dry grass worth Rs 30000 got destroyed in the mishap. Presence of mind of driver and the help by locals prevented a major tragedy.
