Mangaluru, Mar 12: Former Ullal block Congress president Santhosh Shetty slammed MLA U T Khader and called him corrupt and selfish.
Addressing media here on Saturday March 12, he said, “Khader is a corrupt and selfish leader. It is better to end life instead of continuing to work with him. I have decided to join the BJP along with my supporters as I am not satisfied with the work of Khader. He has been MLA for four terms and a minister as well. If he had the will power to work for people, there were many such opportunities. He could have a government hi-tech hospital constructed, when he was the housing minister, he could have got done houses for poor. It was impossible for him to complete the housing scheme at Ullal Ombattukere. Khader has built houses for him all over the country.”
He also said, “The Konaje-Thokkottu stretch road is in a pathetic condition. He has only given photo poses for the road works completed which is quite interior from the main road. Among the 224 MLAs in the state, Khader is the only MLA who has no humanity and kindness. He attends all the private functions to prove how simple MLA he is. I will join the BJP along with other 100 members. There are other Congress leaders like me who are suffering due to Khader. I will ask them to join BJP along with me.”
Santhosh Shetty was active member in the Congress who was the close aide of MLA U T Khader.
Congress members Srinivas Shetty, Purushottam Anchan, Padmanabha Gatty, Vincy D’Souza and Lavish Shetty were present.
