Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha lauds women achievers

Mangaluru, Mar 14: Catholic Sabha Mangalore celebrated International Women’s Day on March 13 at Bejai church hall in association with Episcopal deanery and Bejai unit Catholic Sabha.

The programme started with Holy Eucharistic led by Fr J B Saldhana, spiritual director of Catholic Sabha. After the mass grand felicitation programme was arranged for the women achiever.

Advocate Joyline Mendoca was honoured on being appointed as civil judge Rita D Costa, senior sports competitor, Ramona Pereira- dance, Fluorine Roche, media, Beena Fernandes, sports, Theresa Pereira, education and Monica D’Souza agriculture, were honoured and felicitated for achievements in their respective fields.
Advocate Joyline thanked on behalf of all the achievers for the support and love shared by community members.

Amline D’ Souza, professor Denis Fernandes and Dr Supriya Hegde spoke on this occasion. Stany Lobo, president, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, presided, Fr J B Saldanha inaugurated, Alponse Fernandes, Flavy D Souza, Norine Pinto, Laveena D’Souza, Stany Vas, Melreeda Rodgruigues were present on the dais. Partick Pereira compered the programme.

Around 800 women from all over Mangalore diocese were present. Alwyn D’ Cunha led Derebail church choir to felicitate women achievers.
