Udupi: Donation to MAHE Trust by Mohan Shenoy Yermal Couple

Udupi, Mar 23: Philanthropist couple Rtn Mohan Shenoy Yermal and Rtn Aruna M Shenoy donated Rs 10 Lac Rupees to MAHE Trust, Manipal towards upgradation of Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital Karkala.

The Donation cheque was handed over to Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor and Lt Gen (Retd) Dr M D Venkatesh, vice-chancellor - MAHE, Manipal. This is the second time the couple is donating towards the betterment of the Hospital. Dr H S Ballal expressed his happiness and appreciated the kind gesture. He hoped that more people will come forward with generous donations and help MAHE, Manipal in its social welfare activities.

Lt Gen (Retd) Dr M D Venkatesh announced that the donation will be matched with an equal amount from MAHE Manipal and will be utilised for improving the services at Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital Karkala. He informed that the OT Complex at the hospital will be commissioned soon. Dr H Vinod Bhat, executive vice-president, MAHE Manipal was present and expressed his gratitude for several people like Rtn Mohan and Aruna Shenoy who have come forward to contribute to the growth of Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital Karkala since its inception in 1987. Dr Narayana Sabhahit Registrar MAHE, Rtn Tukharam Nayak, Rtn Suvarna Nayak and Dr Kirthinath Ballal, chief medical officer, Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital Karkala were present during the occasion.
