Puttur: Hijab controversy - Uppinangady college goes incident-free

Puttur, Mar 24: After days of problems and uncertainties, Uppinangady government first grade college in the taluk which was witnessing one or the other incident every day for the last some days, went incident-free on Wednesday March 23. The college gave a written complaint to the police on Wednesday March 23, after dilly-dallying in the matter for several days.

The college was encountering different problems. The police were sitting quiet, saying that they cannot do anything in the absence of written complaint. Principal of the college, Subbappa Kaikamba, gave a written complaint to Uppinangady police station on Wednesday.

The college functioned smoothly without any untoward incidents the whole day on Wednesday.
