Belagavi: Man kills wife on road in full public glare

Belagavi, Mar 26: In a shocking development, a man in a fit of rage, murdered his wife on a road in the city on Friday March 25. The incident shocked the onlookers and the atmosphere in the area turned fearful.

The murder took place in a thickly populated road. The identity of the murdered woman has been given as Heena Kausar Nadaf (27) from Gandhinagar in the city. The accused has been identified as Manzoor Ilahi Nadaf (34), a natie of Devalapur in Bailahonkgala taluk in Belagavi district.

The couple had decided to part ways. Heena Kausar was returning home after attending the hearing of the divorce case. Her husband Manzoor Ilahi, who had come to the city to take part in the hearing, followed her, stopped her on the road near Kotekere, got into an argument with her before killing her.

It is said that Manzoor was unhappy at the fact that his wife was insisting on payment of maintenance. He also suspected her of infidelity. He hacked her to death. Sometime later the police arrested him, it is learnt.

    Very sad.Its mans world .Wife had no chance against this man.Over that he doubts his fidelity.Whatever the cause is ,he didnt want to give her money.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.May her soul rest in peace.
