Mangaluru: Siddaramaiah insulted Indian culture - Nalin Kumar Kateel

Mangaluru, Mar 26: State BJP president and MP of Dakshina Kannada Nalin Kumar Kateel indirectly compared former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah to Ravana character of Ramayana.

Criticizing Siddaramaiah, Nalin said, “Siddaramaiah tried to break the bond between Veerashaivas and Lingayats. We all know the result of that action. Internal friction within the Congress party is the reason for these type of statements by Siddaramaiah. It seems that Siddaramaiah is trying to overpower KPCC president D K Shivakumar.

“Siddaramaiah has insulted the Indian culture and belief of Hindus. He says that he has read Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana. Ravana was also a great scholar and intelligent. It does not mean that one knows everything if he or she reads a particular book. Sri Ram became a model to mankind because of belief,” he said.
