Davanagere, Mar 28: Honnali MLA and political secretary to the chief minister, Renukacharya has announced that he would be filing a defamation suit against the Congress spokesperson who alleged that he had got fake caste certificate for his daughter as alleged.

He was speaking to media persons here on Sunday March 27. He said that he has not obtained any false caste certificate for his daughter. "I am open to investigation and punishment if I have done anything wrong," he said.

Renukacharya said he is hurt by the fact that the spokesperson has alleged that he had illegally obtained Rs 40 to 80 lac. He challenged the spokesperson to provide documentary proof if any to prove this charge.
