Mangaluru, March 28: In a move to transform the bus services in the popular Ullal belt, Chalo, has introduced digital bus passes and live tracking on route buses 42, 43 and 44.

For the past few years, passengers have been using Chalo cards, but now Chalo has come up with mobile ticketing and a live tracking facility. Now this service has been started on the buses between Mangaluru-Ullal. The facility was flagged off on Monday, March 28 by ACP traffic Nataraj in the Talapady bus stand. This service will be extended throughout the district in the coming days, said Jayasheela Adyanthaya of Dakshina Kannada City bus owners association.

Passengers can purchase passes either on the Chalo card or the Chalo App. The card has been made available at all major bus stops on routes 42, 44. Chalo re-charge centers. As passengers board the buses the passengers should tap the card on the conductor's ticketing machine. Validation-trip is deducted from the total number of trips on the purchased pass. Mobile passes(M passes)-Purchase a mobile pass using a few easy steps on the Chalo app. Activate the ticket; bring the phone close to the device to scan the sound.

Alternatively, provide QR code provided on the phone to be scanned by the conductor ticketing machine. Ticket is validated and the ticket code is displayed.
