Udupi: Govt issues notification for conversion of upto 10 cents land for residential purpose

Udupi, Mar 28: The state government has issued a notification allowing conversion of upto 10 cents agricultural land in Udupi to construct residential houses of upto of 3,000 sqft area . 

Government has provided 30 days to receive public suggestions and objections to amend the rules of the urban development authority in this connection.

Minister of urban development Bairathi Basavaraj had given the assurance to MLA K Raghupathi Bhat about this earlier.

There will be no need to go to Bengaluru for conversion of such lands. As many as 4,000 files in this connection are pending in the urban development authority.

MLA Raghuathi Bhat has expressed his gratitude to chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and minister of urban development Bairathi Basavaraj on behalf of the people.
