Bantwal, Mar 29: A police constable was critically injured in an accident between a bus and a bike here. The accident occurred at Kodaje on Mani – Mysuru state highway.

Uppinangady police station constable Dharnappa Gowda who was on the bike was injured in the mishap. 

Dharnappa Gowda, a resident of Anantadi was on his way to work as usual when the private bus heading to Mani hit the bike. Dharnappa who was seriously injured was transported to the Mangaluru hospital. Vitla station police personnel have visited the spot and registered a case.
