Bantwal, Apr 12: The saying ‘Where there is a will, there’s a way’ was proved true by Aditya Bhat, student of Sri Rama degree college of Kalladka. He bagged ninth rank in the final year BCom examination held by Mangalore University with 93.8% marks. His achievement is stupendous considering the fact that he cannot walk due to certain physical disability.
Aditya, who resides near Soorikumeru has weakness of muscles in his legs. His father Ganesh Bhat used to take him to the college every day. In the college, the classes were held on the ground floor for the sake of Aditya. His lecturers and classmates took care of his food and other activities at college. Aditya says that he could achieve this feat only due to the cooperation of everyone in college and his family.
Aditya, who was brilliant right from his childhood, had scored 96.4% in SSLC and 96% in PUC. He studied in Mani Balavikasa English medium school till SSLC and later joined Sri Rama college at Kalladka. He is intending to go for competitive examinations online due to his physical disability.
Proud principal of Sri Rama College Kalladaka, Krishnaprasad Kayarakatte said, “Aditya wrote his examinations without the help of anyone. He has made us proud and brought laurels to the college. He is model to all other students in studies as well as extra-curricular activities.”
