Daijiworld Impact : Cry in the Neighbourhood to Turn Peaceful !

Daijiworld Impact : Cry in the Neighbourhood  to Turn Peaceful !

Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Feb 21 : Within hours after an exclusive investigative news  “A cry in the neighbourhood”  was  flashed on daijiworld.com, it became a hot topic of discussion not only in the neighbourhood  and in Mangalore but also around the world.

The  news  on daijiworld was  like a bolt from the blue to the owner of the house, a  highly respectable person living abroad,  who  had rented the place  purely in good faith.   But unfortunately for him his tenant turned out to be a rogue who misused the trust bestowed on him and made use of the huge house to run a girl’s hostel and now an old age home.

The owner of the house who was shell shocked on reading the news  in daijiworld.com has now alerted his family back home and asked them to initiate the process of  asking the tenant  to vacate the premises within the next few days.  Though the tenant has  tendered apology for the inconvenience caused to the owners, the landlord has firmly asked him to vacate the premises lawfully within  the  stipulated time period.  It is said that the family members of the landlord have now approached lawyer Darryl Andrade to  initiate legal procedure for  vacating  the premises.  Certainly the impact of daijiworld has led to such swift developments and we hope  something  good  has come out of our efforts.

However, vacating the premises itself is not the end of the problem.  The neighbours of Monkey Stand might get some respite from  the constant  yelling, shouting  and wailing when the tenants vacates the premises.  But the fate of the inmates,  is really cause to worry because  by vacating the premises the problem will be shifted to some other place.  The need of the hour is to find out whether the person has a license to run a old age home  or not.  Neighbours who have seen the tenant even after the said house became a talk of the town, following the newsflash in daijiworld,  say that he is not perturbed at all following the developments.  These neighbours are also hinting about the possibility of  parents of some powerful  police officials  (which the tenant  himself  boasted)  being sheltered at his place, away from public gaze.   Neighbours are also insinuating that the  said tenant has the blessings of a powerful  local political leader, for reasons best known to him,   due to which he is least bothered or  dons a “I care a damn attitude’’.

A detailed investigation on the modus operandi  by   appropriate authorities is the need of the hour to know the truth and curtail  such inhuman activities.   It will desist people  like this tenant from  indulging in such despicable  and brutal acts.

This incident will serve as a lesson to all those house owners who rent out their houses without  knowing the party well because ultimately, if anything goes wrong it would land them in  unwanted troubles and  in big doldrums.

I hope all is well now. Hope the water clogging and flooding during the rainy season in this area and mosquito breeding will be taken care off by the corporation immediately. It is sad that one has to run pillar to post to get somebody's attention in this issue. Hope somebody is reading this.

Indians always claim that they treat aged parents very good & the westerners put their parents in the old age homes and treat badly.
we here see the old age homes are kept/managed very nicely, neatly and treat/respect old citizens VERY GOOD. There is respect for humans only in Western countries.

It is good to see that Daijiworld is also functioning as a VIGILANCE DEPARTMENT. Exposing deeds or misdeeds like these is step in the right direction. I must compliment people like Walter and Florine in detecting these situations through media. Daryl Andrade is a reliable and honest lawyer and there is no doubt that he will ensure that justice is rendered to the aggrieved persons.

The change can be brought in any town if the people are considerate and can take one extra step to help the other. In this typical case, the mess was going on since one year but it took one man to come forward to point out what was happening, and you see the difference now. So there are thousands of issues in Mangalore which can be solved nearly as easily as this one. All that it takes is little compassion, patience, spirit and courage. If you can post all those comments in Daijworld, then I believe you all have it in you. We all can restore the beauty and grace back to this glorious town. Good work Daiji and Prem.

Very good initiative by Daiji and action and co-operation of all people involved in bringing the defaulter to task. However, I hope the inmates are given proper rehabilitation by the Govt. since most of them are old.

The problem with us Indians is that we never open our mouths whenever it is required although we see injustice going on around us we see it and ignore it and allow it to grow without proportions and then blame the Govt.,system, everything if only we take effort and stop crime and injustice at its root cause atleast we can ensure a good future for our children who will also take right steps at the right time and be responsible citizens.

Hats of you Daijiworld. This is a small step towards a big humanitarious cause. Around the world STARS of leaders, politicians & civil servants are not shining anymore. Don't worry about powerful people showing their muscle power, media has shown again and again that it is mightier than sword. Please take this cause towards a positive end. You may find some more places similar to this around you.

This incident should be an eye opener for the society. I know many cases, where the children of the elderly people force their parents / uncle to transfer the property right to them and dump them in places like this. Now these helpless parents cannot go anywhere, no one to complain. This is what we have come to. Our elders have brought up us with care and great struggle. But we, instead returning their love and affection treat them like dust. This is horrible. Ofcourse the person behind this old age home should be sent to jail, but the children who have sent their parents to this home should also be made to own up their responsibility.

Kudos Daiji! i do hope this will be an eye opener re old age homes in this region. It is a big money spinner not only by way of the fees etc..., but also through many illegal sources. The NGO's in this field must take up a systematic study and assessment of these institutions. Hope the Elders' Help line 1090 will use these clues to be alert and devise better ways of monitoring. The plea that the concerned Authorities must set up a watch dog body to regulate and monitor all old age homes and so on.... Daiji has the means to spear head public openion and concrete action. Thanks and Compliments.

Great work Daijiworld. Now please also keep a track on the movements of this so called old age home. The person might kill the inmates also to all the proof. Hour of the need is for the govt. to step in take custody of the inmates, take good care of them and if possible ask their wards to shift them to some other places. But this person should be put behind bars and he should pay for the torture he has undertaken so far.

I do not understand how it is possible for the owner to not know what is going on in the premises rented by him?
Most of such places run under the garb of NGO and social service bodies. They even get aid from abroad. Now what is happening inside nobody knows.

Whenever someone goes visiting, they ask for prior appointment to be taken so that before the scheduled visit they see that things are put in a semblance of an order. Also, the inmates are so much terrorized that they live in eternal fear of being abused. During the visit their people also roam around and do not allow a one to one conversation between the relatives and the inmate. If any inmate dares complain against the institute and the visitor does not take him out at that point in time then he will have had it, one can be sure of further torture by the care takers, hence most of the inmates will paint a hunky dory picture of the place when any visitor comes. They will also try to prolong the patient's stay as much as possible by saying he/she is not yet fit enough to go home.

There is no iota of doubt that such places operate without the blessings of the law enforcers and powerful politicians.

It is very difficult to curb them as far as there is demand from people who have no other option.

It is high time that the public be wary about such places and ensure that their near and dear ones do not fall into wrong hands in the twilight years of their life.

What is the diff between a jail and this place?

    God Bless!!

This was an urgent cause, social networking sites are not to solve everybody's problems and issues. This one specially was the need of the hour may be life/death question, and it is clearly mentioned that these inmates living peacefully elsewhere is not guaranteed...so wait....more will surely follow...hopefully positive.....
