Mangaluru, Sep 4: Geetha, a 11-year-and-two months' old police dog which was associated with the explosive detection squad of the city died on Saturday, September 3.
For 11 long years, Geetha, a labrador retriever breed of dog, had served faithfully in the canine squad in the police department.
Geetha was used extensively in the security and explosive detection work during the arrival of VVIPs and other huge public gatherings.
The funeral of the dog was held with love and full honours by the police on Sunday, September 4.
