Kalmadi Likely to be Questioned by CBI

New Delhi, April 20 (IANS) Former Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi is likely to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Wednesday in connection with alleged irregularities related to the Queen's Baton Relay, sources said.

Kalmadi had earlier been summoned to the CBI headquarters April 15 but had to go out of station on that day, an official told IANS. He was then called Tuesday, April 19, but could not make it.

The official said Kalmadi would have to clarify on issues in connection with alleged irregularities in hiring AM Films and AM Car and Van Hire Limited during the Queen's Baton Relay held in 2009. The issues had come to light during the visit of a two-member CBI team to London.
