We Should Have Played Better, We Were Not Up to Mark: Gambhir

Kolkata, April 21 (IANS) After being outplayed by Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir said Wednesday that his boys did not play up to the mark in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens here.

"We could have played better. We didn't play up to the mark. We should have chased the runs better," said Gambhir after the match.

This was the Knights' second defeat in the fourth season of the cash-rich IPL after winning three matches in a row. They are now atop the chart.

"Their bowlers bowled well. At the same time, we were disappointing. Hopefully, we will reverse this in the next game," said Gambhir.
