Moodbidri, Sep 26: In connection with the recent murder of a man named Jayaraj Naik at Kukkudakatte in Moodukonaje near Moodbidri and tossing his body duly tied to a boulder into a well, the police have arrested the victim's wife, identified as Ashwini (23). This murder was allegedly committed by Ashwini's paramour with her help.

Relating to the case, main accused, Anand Mogera and his friend, Sripathi, have already been arrested.

As per information gathered by the police, Anand Mogera had killed Jayaraj by hitting his head with a rod at the residence of Jayaraj's wife at Kukkudakatte during his visit on September 13. The body was then concealed behind the bushes near Ashwini's house. At night, it was tied in a gunny bag and dumped into a well after binding it with a heavy boulder to make sure the body did not float. The incident came to light on Saturday, and the police, had taken possession of the iron rod allegedly used for the murder and a motor bike Anand used for moving around.

Ashwini was produced before the magistrate here at his residence, upon which she was remanded to judicial custody.

Anand and his friend, Sripathi, who were arrested on Saturday, were remanded to 15 days judicial custody by the court the same day. Anand, who was moving around freely after the murder, had stolen the SIM from Jayaraj's mobile phone. After some days, he had borrowed a mobile phone from his friend, Sripathi, and made call to Jayaraj's mother by using Jayaraj's SIM. He reportedly told the woman that her son was working for him for clearing outstanding loan raised from him. The mother complained to police. During police verification, the phone's location was shown as Siddakatte. The police took Sripathi into custody and questioned him upon which he confessed to have lent his cellphone to Anand, it has transpired.

Killing/murdering a person is not a joke. One has to undergo the consequences of such crimes. Now experience it. You love and run away. But why kill a innocent person?

RIP jayaraj!! May God give strength to his family to bear the loss.

I really fail to understand why some people get into extra marital affairs.

If it is not possible to adjust its better to come out of the wedlock.

At least that will save somebody out there from being murdered.
