Mumbai, Apr 18: Two books on poetry namely Janasiri in Kannada and Manasiri in Tulu, written by Ravi R Anchan were released at Keshav Gore auditorium, Goregaon west on Sunday evening April 16.
The programme was held under the aegis of Shailaja Foundation Mumbai, Sirivara Prakashana Bengaluru and Veera Kesari Kalavrinda. Mogaveera monthly magazine editor G K Ramesh, Veera Kesari Kalavrinda former president Payyar Ramesh Shetty, Goregaon Karnataka Sangha president Devalkunda Bhasker Shetty, Bharath Bank former director Ranga K Palan, Mumbai railway tourist association president Madhu Kotian, Billavara Association Mumbai youth wing committee leader Nilesh Poojary Palimar, Tulu Kannada Welfare Association president A K Harish, social workers Suresh Kumar Mulund, Shanker Poojary Bhandup, Sadananda K Anchan Thane were present on the dais. Thane corporation mayor Meenakshi Poojary released the books. Dramatist Dayanand Salian introduced Janasiri book and senior author Lalitha Prabhu Angadi introduced Manasiri collection of poems.
Veera Kesari Kalavrinda president Shakuntala R Prabhu welcomed everyone and gave the keynote address. Pravin Narayan Anchan and party sang a prayer song. Gunodaya Aikala, Sugandhi Shama Haleangadi, Rama R Nayak, Suguna S Bangera, Baby Ranga Poojary, Mohini Poojary, Shivananda Shetty, Rajani V Pai, Yashodha Sathish Poojary and Jayakar D Poojary introduced the guests. Takshita Hegde, Leela Ganesh, K V R Aithal, Rakshita Nayak, Sujalatha Poojary presented flower bouquets to guests and honored them. Hema S Ameen read the message from Ravi Sirivara of Sirivara Prakashana. Shailaja Anchan Foundation convener Dr Akshari R Anchan compered the programme. Veera Kesari honorary chief secretary Chandrashekar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Hundreds of Tulu Kannada art lovers were present.
