Udupi, Jan 24: The Indian Navy INS Kochi that on the lookout for the missing fishing boat ‘Suvarna Tribhuja’ in the sea has found the possible remains of ‘Suvarna Tribhuja’ that is likely to have drowned in Maharastra. But it is yet to be confirmed if those remains belong to the missing fishing boat.

The boat, with two fishermen from Malpe and five fishermen from Uttara Kannada is missing mysteriously from Sindhudurga district, Maharashtra sea shore since December 15. The navy after search by police, coastal protection force and navy has concluded that the boat had met with a mishap and drowned in the sea. The Indian Navy on INS Kochi is searching for the fishing boat under the sea using Sonar technology for the last two weeks.

The remains of a boat are found along with other small and big remains at a depth of about sixty to seventy meters under the sea. There are suspicions that those may be of Suvarna Tribhuja as the boat is 75 feet long.

INS Kochi could not capture the pictures as those were 60-70 meters deep. Therefore, the navy has put into service INS Sutlej hydro graphic survey boat with modern 3D mapping technology. It will release real pictures of the remains which will help to confirm if those are of the missing fishing boat.

Hope that finally police and other departments will lift this boat. Even in this accident some political leaders tried to misguide people. In one side many departments were trying their level best to locate the boat, whereas onother side a leader from fishermen was giving some political statements to media. At least they should keep politics far from this type of accident.

Such a sad thing to happen on a huge sea. A boat and a ship hitting head on might be minute possiblity, sad to see this. Agree with Jossey, only proper compensation would help now.

What happened to our satellite vigilance ? If a 75' long boat can be dunked in not time on Indian waters, how can't another Kasab gang enter from anywhere of the coastline of the nation ?

Why INS Kochi did not report striking something at its bottom ? How will it explain the damages/abrasions caused to his bottom ? Can it sail over anything in the sea or has it some system to check if there is some matter that obstructs its smooth sailing and continue by-passing it ?

    People,

Finally we are very close to find out what happened,,,,

My guess was and is...‘Suvarna Tribhuja’ had engine trouble and stranded ...was hit and sunk by INS Kochi....damaging its bottom...

What is beyond reasoning is INS Kochi not reporting the incident immediately...to avoid pain and anguish to fishermen's family,,,,

We need better training for our Army...Navy and Air-Force...before its too late...

    ...Tak...Takk...

    Langoolji,
Ok fine. But what happened to the dead bodies our fishermen? Hope and pray, they are alive somewhere... prisoned?
Why they have hidden the truth if INS kochi hit the boat? Now the Pain and agony of the family people will be less after waiting for more than month. If we people are hurt so much about our fishermen, what about their family members, friends and relatives, neighborhood ?
    Kuch bhi yaar... Really sad

    Jossey bhai,
Right dear 25 lacs for hitting the boat plus 25 lacs for hiding and keeping it in suspense and for not searching the boat in the beginning days of the Tragedy. Total 50 lacs each family should get. Still lives won't come back.
